South Forsyth War Eagles Youth Lacrosse

South Forsyth War Eagle Youth Lacrosse is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping local kids grow as lacrosse players and as individuals. Through positive instruction, coaching and competition, we strive to help kids grow on and off the field. We are firmly committed to keeping lacrosse fun and accessible to boys and girls of all ages and skill levels.

Registration for Boys Fall lacrosse with South Forsyth is OPEN!  Our coaches will be working with your player on stick skills, shooting, dodging, defense, footwork and improving their overall lacrosse IQ. 

Many of our athletes play multiple sports or have other fall commitments outside of lacrosse and the normal practice schedules and increased travel requirements for league games in the fall does not work for most parent's schedules.  Based on this feedback, we will be focusing on player development and treating fall as our off season training program.

Fall player fees for all age groups:  $150

Coaches

Leading our elementary age groups this fall will be Coach Patrick Foy.  Coach Foy is former collegiate lacrosse player and has led our U9 and U11 age groups the past 2 years.  Coach Foy is an excellent teacher of the game and we are excited to have him back again this fall!

Leading our middle school age group this fall will be Coach Miguel Ortiz.  Coach Ortiz is the Director of Lacrosse at SFHS and is coming off his 1st season at SFHS where he helped lead the team to the program's 1st state title game!  This is Coach Ortiz's first fall with our youth program and we are excited to have him working with our older age group.

Tentative Schedules

All sessions will be at Joint Venture Park or other fields in the south part of Forsyth County.  Location or time changes will be communicated by the Board or your head coach.

Fall sessions will begin the week of Sept 1st and end by November 1st.

U9 and U11:  Mon and Wed 6-7:30
Middle School:  Sun 5-6:30

Registration for Girls Fall lacrosse with South Forsyth is OPEN!  Registration is open to all girls in 5th-8th grade no matter the experience level.  Our 5th/6th team will be participating in the Newtown Rec league this fall.  We will be hosting off season training session for our 7th/8th grade girls to avoid conflict with fall club activities. More information below and make sure to invite your friends!

Tentative Schedule

Practices this fall will be held at Joint Venture Park or other fields in the south part of Forsyth County.  Location or time changes will be communicated by the Board or your head coach.

Practices for 5th/6th grade scheduled to start the week of August 25th.  With games from early September through November 2nd.  All games will be played on Sat/Sun.  We will work with Newtown to de-conflict game schedules with other fall based sports/activities and Fall Break, where possible. 

Training sessions for our 7th/8th grade girls will being Sept 3rd.

Our tentative girls practice schedule at Joint Venture Park:

5th/6th Girls:  Mon and Wed 5:30-7
7th/8th Girls:  Wed 7:30-9

Player Fees

Player fees for this fall will be $200 for 5th/6th grade and $50 for 7th/8th.  These fees cover all league, county, organization fees for our girls program.  To keep costs as low as possible for this fall, our 5th/6th team will use South pinnies for games.  There is no additional cost for the pinnie.
